I am seeking the privilege of serving in her first term on the RHAM Board of Education. She was raised in Marlborough and was a 1999 graduate of RHAM High School. In 2014 Amy and her husband Kevin moved back to Marlborough for the strong schools and their personal ties to the community. Amy’s daughter currently attends RHAM Middle School and her son is attending Marlborough Elementary School. In 2003 she graduated from George Mason University and then went on to complete her Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from Eastern Connecticut State University. Amy has spent the last 19 years as a public school teacher in both urban and suburban settings. She is currently a 4th grade teacher in a neighboring district. Her dedication to students and families makes her an asset to the Board of Education. Amy's personal connection with RHAM and the Marlborough community will allow her to have a unique perspective on the needs of students and families. She understands the importance of a strong education and how it can impact a child's future. As a parent with children in the district, Amy has firsthand experience with the opportunities and challenges faced by students. This experience will guide her decisions on the Board of Education to ensure all students have opportunities for success. As a board member of the RHAM Youth Lacrosse League, Amy has shown her commitment to the youth of the community. In her free time Amy can be found cheering on her children and their teams during their sporting events.
I humbly ask for your support in my candidacy for the RHAM Board of Education.
